His Highness Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum opened the 22nd edition of Automechanika Dubai

The event features over 2,300 exhibitors across 20 halls, including 21 dedicated pavilions, totalling record floor space of more than 92,000 square metres to address increasing demand from exhibitors

Dubai, UAE: Automechanika Dubai, the largest automotive aftermarket trade exhibition in the Middle East and Africa, was officially opened by H.H. Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Ports and Borders Security Council, takes place at the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) from 9 – 11 December.

During the opening ceremony, His Highness visited several exhibitors, including Dubai-based Golden Extreme Group, Dynatrade, and Al Shamali Auto Parts. From an international perspective, His Highness visited the German Pavilion, highlighting foreign trade ambitions under the Dubai Economic Agenda D33, while also visiting market leaders in braking solutions and mobility, the Italian company Brembo.

Celebrating its twenty-second edition, the exhibition marks its biggest year yet. More than 2,300 exhibitors from over 60 countries are participating across 20 halls, reflecting both the continued growth of the regional automotive aftermarket and the event’s increasing global significance. New entrants this year include Albania, Barbados, Cyprus, Kazakhstan, and Iraq, reinforcing Dubai’s position as the key connector between markets across the Middle East, Africa, Asia, and the CIS.

Addressing this increased demand, the show occupies more than 92,000 square metres of gross exhibition space, up 11% year-on-year, reinforcing its position as the largest trade platform of its kind in the region.

Government support for the event has also strengthened, with the UAE Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure and Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority confirmed as Government Supporters, with Eng. Mozza Al Nuaimi, Engineering Expert – Water, Electricity and Renewable Energy Sector, Ministry of Energy & Infrastructure – UAE, delivering one of the opening keynote speeches at Innovation4Mobility, which takes place until 10 December, where she addressed Energy efficiency and smart infrastructure: Enabling a sustainable mobility ecosystem in the UAE.

On Thursday, Maryam Al Bastaki, Project Manager, Industrial Partnerships and Investment Department, Ministry of Industry & Advanced Technology, UAE, will deliver a session on Accelerating the UAE’s automotive industrial transformation as part of the newly launched Region Focus – Made in the GCC, where she will explore how the UAE is building an advanced, innovation-driven automotive manufacturing ecosystem through localization incentives, industrial partnerships, and technology adoption under the Make it in the Emirates initiative.

From an association perspective, the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), the European Association of Automotive Suppliers (CLEPA) and the International Road Transport Union (IRU) have reaffirmed their involvement. Themba Khumalo, Principal Advisor to the Secretary General, (AfCFTA), will outline Africa’s growing prominence in the global automotive aftermarket during AfriConnections, which will take place on Thursday, and been introduced to showcase Africa’s fast-growing automotive and mobility sector.

These sessions will form part of Automechanika Dubai’s comprehensive three-day programme of conferences and features. Innovation4Mobility, located in the Al Multaqua Ballroom, will explore advancements in electrification, smart infrastructure, connected mobility and the circular economy.

The Automechanika Academy, taking place on 9 and 10 December, brings together policymakers, OEMs, suppliers and analysts to discuss regulatory developments, sustainability strategies, remanufacturing trends, tyre and battery innovation, AI-driven diagnostics and the future of mobility across the MEA region.

To complement these knowledge sharing platforms, the exhibition floor has been designed to reflect the full scope of the sector, spanning product categories such as parts and components, electrics and electronics, tyres and batteries, oils, lubricants and fuels, diagnostics and repair, car wash and detailing, body and paint, accessories and customising, digital solutions and services, and, for the first time, connectivity and autonomous driving.

Commenting on the opening of the show, Tommy Le, Show Manager of Automechanika Dubai, said: “Automechanika Dubai continues to play a vital role in connecting the global aftermarket with the Middle East and Africa. The scale and calibre of this year’s event clearly reflect the industry’s accelerating pace of change, from electrification and AI integration to regional manufacturing and digitalisation.

“The show provides a unique platform for business, knowledge sharing, and collaboration to help industry players navigate transformation and seize new growth opportunities.”

New highlights this year include CV Evolution, a focused feature on the Commercial Vehicles segment showcasing fleet management, electrification, and smart logistics solutions; the LABX Conference, a dynamic platform covering the entire lubricants, base oils, and additives value chain; and Fleet FWD, a strategic forum to advance your business. The event will adopt a broader, more integrated vision that unites key industry pillars such as automotive logistics, fleet sustainability, and digital transformation.
