SICK has partnered with CoreTigo to address the growing demand for wireless connectivity in industrial automation, aiming to boost flexibility and simplify integration. As part of this collaboration, SICK has introduced a suite of IO-Link Wireless products designed for plug-and-play use, making it easy to incorporate existing industrial devices wirelessly. This range includes:
- IO-Link Wireless Master: A robust, industrial-grade two-track master
- IO-Link Wireless Bridge: Converts IO-Link Class A, Class B, or digital devices to IO-Link Wireless
- IO-Link Wireless Multiport Hub: Converts up to four IO-Link Class A or B devices, or a mix of six IO-Link or digital devices
IO-Link Wireless, an extension of the global IO-Link standard, facilitates wireless, bi-directional, smart communication in industrial environments where traditional wired setups are challenging. This technology reduces installation costs, eases retrofits, integrates smoothly with other wireless networks, and enhances scalability, positioning it as a vital element in future-proofing industrial systems.
“IO-Link Wireless aligns perfectly with SICK’s integrated solution strategy, adding value that directly meets customer needs,” said Detlef Deuil, Head of Integration Products at SICK. “CoreTigo’s innovative technology provides seamless wireless connectivity, upholding the high standards our customers expect.”
CoreTigo’s CEO Eran Zigman commented, “Integrating IO-Link Wireless into SICK’s solutions significantly drives the market for advanced industrial wireless connectivity. Their reach and impact enable smarter, more flexible manufacturing, paving the way for applications that meet the industry’s evolving demands.”
