EvoScann P16-D pressure scanner receives FIA homologation

Measuring instruments supplier Evolution Measurement’s EvoScann P16-D pressure scanner has been officially homologated by the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA). This certification confirms that the P16-D meets the standards required for use in on-car testing in professional motorsports, enabling teams to employ this technology in both testing and racing environments.

The P16-D pressure scanner is designed for precision pressure measurement and is engineered to fit into tight spaces without affecting aerodynamic design, delivering high-performance pressure measurement in a compact form. The scanner also provides precise data acquisition, essential for optimizing vehicle performance in demanding conditions.

With 16 channels, the P16-D also facilitates aerodynamic and pressure analysis, and features an intuitive interface and versatile connectivity options, enabling integration with existing data acquisition systems.

Paul Crowhurst, managing director of Evolution Measurement, said, “This certification underscores our commitment to providing advanced measurement solutions that meet the stringent demands of the motorsport industry. The P16-D, now homologated alongside other models like the P8-A, P8-D, P16-A and P64-D, offers teams the accurate and reliable data necessary to maintain a competitive edge.”
