Automat Solutions Launches AI-Powered Battery Research Platforms

Automat Solutions has launched two AI-powered software platforms designed to accelerate battery research, electrolyte selection and materials development for battery manufacturers, researchers and technology developers.

The California-based materials technology company introduced LyteMatch and LyteGuide, two platforms aimed at helping users make faster, data-driven decisions throughout the battery development process.

LyteMatch is a Battery Electrolyte Selection Platform that enables researchers, startups and manufacturers to identify, compare and evaluate electrolyte options based on factors such as battery chemistry, application, performance requirements, temperature range and formulation criteria.

The platform also connects electrolyte formulations with relevant research insights, allowing users to assess characteristics including ionic conductivity, electrochemical stability, viscosity, thermal stability, safety, cost and expected delivery timelines.

LyteGuide extends the research process through an AI-powered Battery Research Assistant Platform. It provides literature search, material recommendations, document analysis, technical question-and-answer capabilities and natural-language interaction with battery research data.

The platform includes specialised modules covering silicon-anode, lithium-ion, sodium-ion and lithium-metal batteries, helping researchers investigate areas such as interface stability, electrolyte safety, formulation optimisation and lithium-metal compatibility.

According to Automat Solutions, the platforms are designed to strengthen the connection between battery research and manufacturing by giving developers faster access to technical information and formulation data.

The launch highlights the growing role of AI and digital tools in battery development, as manufacturers and researchers seek to improve material selection, shorten development cycles and accelerate the transition from laboratory research to commercially viable battery technologies.
