Strong Clark partner for Slovenia

Clark Europe announces a new strategic partnership with Arko d.o.o. as its official distribution partner for Slovenia. The collaboration underscores Clark’s goal of further expanding its presence in the European market and strengthening its position as a leading supplier of industrial trucks. Arko, a renowned specialist in truck upgrades and logistics solutions, will now take over exclusive distribution of the entire Clark product range in Slovenia.

At the signing of the agreement at the European headquarters in Duisburg, Stefan Budweit, President & CEO of Clark Europe GmbH, said: “We are delighted about the partnership with Arko. The company has many years of experience in the logistics sector and enjoys an excellent reputation in the industry. This collaboration will enable us to offer our Slovenian customers our comprehensive range of services through a trusted partner and ensure the highest standards in consulting and service.”

Many years of experience meets a comprehensive portfolio

The family-owned company Arko d.o.o. was founded in 1990 by Damijan Barat in Ljutomer, eastern Slovenia, near the Hungarian border. Today, the company is jointly managed by Damijan Barat and his sons. With over 30 years of in-depth experience in truck retrofitting, Arko’s main activities today include the sale and servicing of loading cranes, tippers and forklift trucks. In addition, the company manufactures a wide range of specialised superstructures, including swap body systems, tow trucks, trailers, agricultural transport superstructures, tail lifts and aerial work platforms. Its expertise in the sale, production, engineering and servicing of equipment from world-renowned manufacturers ensures a high level of customer satisfaction. The company’s headquarters are in Ljutomer. In January 2025, a new branch was opened in the capital city of Ljubljana. Arko employs a total of 38 people – 8 in administration, 5 in sales and 19 in service. This team ensures professional sales, comprehensive advice and reliable customer service.

As a Clark partner, Arko will distribute Clark’s entire product range in Slovenia. In addition to all classes of forklift trucks and warehouse equipment, this also includes all accessories and spare parts, as well as a comprehensive range of services including rental, financing and servicing for new and used Clark industrial trucks.
