Rimac Energy expands operations with new facility in Oxfordshire

Battery energy storage systems (BESS) specialist Rimac Energy has opened a 1850m2  facility in Witney, Oxfordshire, in the UK.

The facility will serve as a hub for technological advancements and the manufacturing of Rimac’s next-generation BESS. It is set to create more than 70 high-skilled jobs for engineers, technicians and researchers.

Rimac Energy is a division of Rimac Technology, headquartered in Zagreb, Croatia. The new facility demonstrates the company’s sustainable growth plans and solution for the growing demand of energy storage, Rimac says.

Wasim Sarwar Dilov, director, Rimac Energy, said, “The UK has always been at the forefront of technological innovation, and we are thrilled to be expanding our footprint here.

“We’re proud to strengthen the Croatia-UK partnership, support the local community and are excited to be able to tap into the incredible engineering talent pool in the region to help us build a greener future for the planet.”
