Regal Rexnord and Honeywell have announced a multi-year collaboration to develop cutting-edge technologies for electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft. The partnership will integrate electro-mechanical components, systems, and software to enhance the performance and reliability of these next-generation aircraft.
While the full scope of the collaboration is still being finalized, the partnership is expected to involve multiple manufacturing stages, from component production to the assembly and testing of Honeywell’s flight control actuation systems.
“This alliance combines Honeywell’s expertise in flight control system integration and certification with Regal Rexnord’s automated manufacturing capabilities, helping to accelerate entry-into-service to meet market demand,” said Dave Shilliday, Vice President and General Manager of Advanced Air Mobility at Honeywell Aerospace Technologies. “We are confident this collaboration will provide significant value to advanced air mobility companies seeking guidance and support in achieving certification and flight readiness.”
