High hopes for MAHA’s hoists are well founded, says the company

BMW determines what workshop equipment its dealers use, so when Essendon BMW decided to add more hoists to its complement of workshop equipment, it says MAHA was the natural choice.
“I have to buy hoists off the BMW approved list and the MAHA hoists are just superior in every way to every other hoist on the list, so I honestly wouldn’t buy a different brand of hoist,” Essendon BMW General Manager Aftersales, Craig Freshney, said.
Craig has one other brand of hoist in the workshop, which was installed when the dealership first opened, but any installations since have been MAHA, with Craig purchasing 10 hoists from MAHA in the past 12 months.
Nine are the 3.5 tonne two post hoists and one is the much larger 5.5 tonne four post hoist, which the company predominantly uses for wheel alignments.
The MAHA 3.5 tonne two post Mastar hoists employ a proven spindle-nut system with self-locking thread, asymmetrical columns turned by 45 degrees for easy door opening angles, asymmetrical support arms, and they have a five-year warranty.
Other vehicle hoists in the MAHA range include a double scissor lift with an extremely low drive-over height – the Lift Twin FIV – as well as scissor lifts with 4.2 tonne and 5.5 tonne load capacities and a two post inground lift with a flat support bridge and a 3.5 tonne capacity.
Craig says that it’s not only the equipment that is top notch, but also the support he receives from MAHA, stating the service from Nick and the MAHA team is second to none.
“I even had to change my order at the last minute because of a concrete thickness issue and it was no problem at all. The subcontractors they use for the installation are the best in the business, and I’m transitioning my servicing over to them because I’ve been introduced to them through MAHA,” Craig said.
“The feedback I get from my guys, who fight over the MAHA hoist versus the other brand in my workshop, is that the MAHA hoists are just a far better hoist – more reliable, better looking, and just overall a better product.
“The MAHA hoists have more scope than the other hoists so you can fit a wider range of vehicles on them and because of the setup it actually has got a wider angle in the arms, and can accommodate more vehicle types.
“They have a higher lift at the pad meaning that even cars with sidesteps and things like that can go on those hoists – pretty much 100 percent of the cars that come through my dealership can go on the MAHA two post and that’s different to the other brand that I’ve got.”
