Buzz builds for AFIAs, only two weeks away

The Australian Freight Industry Awards (AFIAs) are now quickly approaching, promising a night of whirlwind entertainment.

Coming to the Palladium at Crown Melbourne on Saturday 7 September, the event will feature a stacked list of performers for the freight industry’s heaviest hitters – including the likes of comedian Lizzy Hoo as the AFIAs Master of Ceremonies, musician Matt Hetherington and his band, renowned speed painter Brad Blaze and more.

This year’s award categories include the Women’s Leadership Award, Investment in People Award, Best Practice Safety Award, Application of Technology Award, Green Star Award—Promoting Sustainability in the Workplace, Emerging Leader Award and Waste & Recycling Business of the Year Award.

“The AFIAs aren’t just about entertainment,” the Victorian Transport Association (VTA) said.

“They’re about coming together as an industry to honour the hard work, innovation and success stories that define the Australian freight sector.

“The AFIAs are a prestigious event that not only celebrates excellence but also provides a unique opportunity to network with peers, partners, and industry leaders.”
